About Me — Chef Leslie Linevsky
For me, food has always been a way to pull people together. I raised my three kids around the kitchen table—talking about their day, debating the news, laughing, disagreeing, and always finding our way back to one another. Cooking was never just about the meal; it was about creating a space where conversations replaced screens and everyone felt seen.
Over the years, my “kitchen education” grew through chefs, friends, classes, and more than a hundred cookbooks annotated with notes, stains, and memories in the margins. I’ve cooked for vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free guests, and shellfish-allergic friends—all at the same table—because hospitality, to me, means making everyone feel welcome. I’ve hosted dinners for two and parties for thirty-five, always aiming for the same result: shoes kicked off, laughter bouncing, and a night that feels celebratory—even on a Tuesday.
Cooking is a life skill that grows with you. I learned to juggle it while raising a family, running companies, and leading community organizations. Through every phase—busy careers, chaotic kid years, and empty nesting—the kitchen table remained the place where connection came most naturally.
My philosophy is simple:
Cook at home, cook with heart, cook for the people you love.
Home cooking lets you eat healthier, save money, honor dietary needs, and create memories that last longer than the meal. It grounds us in a fast, digital world and opens the door to deeper family bonds, spontaneous gatherings, new friendships, and the quiet joy of feeding people well.
Today, I’m the creator of Forking Delicious™ —a cooking school built to help you gain confidence, master essential skills, and genuinely enjoy being in your kitchen. I’m also the author of the cookbook Forking Delicious™, where the recipes and stories that shaped my life finally come together in one place.
I’m here to teach you what I’ve learned: that great food doesn’t need to be complicated, hosting shouldn’t be stressful, and your kitchen can absolutely become the happiest room in your home.
Here’s to cooking boldly, joyfully, and a little bit rebelliously.
